NATIONAL ECONOMIC MODEL: AN ALTERNATIVE TO GLOBALIZATION?
ABSTRACT
This article analyzes the content of the “national” in economic relations; questions of globalization and its influence on economic sovereignty; the benefits gained by the economy; the role of the solution of national economic problems and gradual integration into the world economic system. The author raises the question of the priority of regional economic integration required for effective entry into the world economy. His theoretical reasoning is supported by an analysis of examples of economic progress in countries of the Caucasian region.
In order to assess the effectiveness of the development of small economies, the author introduces the concept of “structural effect.”
